Vintage layouts are among my most favorite and the June Swirlydoos kit gave me just the inspiration that I needed. I used lots of fun layering, inking and distressing. I love working with Martha Stewart punches, especially the “around the page” collection. I used beautiful texture to give the layout just the right vintage touch. The envelope is from Maya Road. I punched small circles across the top to give interest.
I painted the glimmer chip watch with blue acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry I applied a thick coating of clear crackle paint. The watch face in the middle is a rub on from Glitz Designs.
The flourish to the right of the photo is a sticker from Karen Foster Designs.. I thought I would be able to place the sticker directly to the photo, but due to the layers and patterns, it would not lay flat and it did not stand out. Instead, I placed the sticker on a piece of patterned paper, then cut. Now it is a focal point on the layout.
