Basic Grey - Curio

I have been waiting for this beautiful collectiton to arrive for months! It is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

The embellishments are breathtaking.  I used a journaling block and surrounded it with Prima flowers.  I mounted the journaling block on patterned paper and cut with my Fiskars scallop edge scissors.  I used a Copic marker (E47) to add small dots in each scallop.

I used a beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard piece to frame the title.  I painted the chipboard using ivory, gold and green acrylic paint.

I loved this chipboard flourish from the collection.  I accented it with a jewel and stickles.

Elegant Two Page Design - "Thankful"

I love this two page design!  The Giving Thanks collection from Teresa Collins gives you the opportunity to express your feelings with quotes and your own journaling.  Here I used a beautiful quote along with a "Count your Blessing" journaling box.  On the right side of the layout I used a circular journaling spot to jot down the date.  I made a paper ribbon from the patterned paper and added a sentiment which was adhered with foam squares.

Close up of the journaling block.

I used a beautiful velvet flower from Creative Imaginations and bling from Prima's "Say it in Crystals."

Scrapbooks Plus DT Kit - Giving Thanks - Cards

The Giving Thanks collection from Teresa Collins is both beautiful and elegant.  The versatility of the collection allows you to create everything from cards to albums.  I thought I would design a couple of simple, yet elegant “thanks” cards.   After all, there is so much to be thankful for and gratitude is never out of season.

This collection comes with an amazing selection of embellishments.  I used quite a few of the die cut elements on my projects. First I created the card base using black cardstock.  I cut a rectangle from the  Thank You Paper, then mounted on an orange cardstock mat.   I used two die cuts from the Die Cut Tags sheet and mounted to the right side of the card base.  I added decorative ribbon and a velvet flower from Creative Imaginations.

Elegant is all I can say when I look at this card.  The beautiful black laser cut element is from Scherenschnitte Designs.  They are photo corners but I decided not to break them apart and use them as the focal point of my card.  The “Thankful” sentiment was cut from the Tags sheet.

Reflections - Teresa Collins

Teresa Collins has created one of the most beautiful collections with Giving Thanks.  I love the rich damask pattersn and elegant striped designs.  I decided to create a wedding layout featuring this beautiful photo from Timeless Photography.  I like to look through stock photos and this one caught my eye.  Since the layout is for a DT project to be displayed in a store, I didn't mind using a photo that was not my own.

I decided to surround the bride with beautiful flowers from Petaloo.  The jeweled flower centers are also from Petaloo.  I also added Prima bling among the leaves.  The leaves were cut using my Silhouette.  The journaling tag and chipboard elements are from the Giving Thanks collection.

Thanks for joining me today.
