Zva Creative May DT Blog Hop!

Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcome you to join us for our May Blog Hop! We are happy to have you join us and hope you enjoy all that we have to share with you along the way!

The Blog Hop begins at Zva Creative's blog! Be sure head on over to check it out! Leave a comment there for a chance to win an extra prize package just for visiting the blog and telling us that you stopped by! You will also find a complete list of all the participating blogs there (in case there is a glitch along the way).

As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project. If you like what you see you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

Green has become one of my favorite colors and here I used it to bring out the beauty of my papers.

I used an oval doily from We R Memory Keepers as the back drop for my photo.  I misted the doily using Key Lime Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.  The edges of the doily were inked using Forest Moss Distress Ink by Ranger.

I used a Martha Stewart Crafts' Garden Gate punch to create an elegant border beneath my photo.

I used a delicate crystal flourish to accent my photo as well as two beautiful Zva flowers in shades of green.

I used a lovely sentiment stamp from Technique Tuesday's Dreamy Daisy Collection to personalize my page.  I used a single line of green crystals to trim the roof of the Gazebo in my patterned paper.

CRW-03CB-129 (Basic Lines Crystal - Olive); CRW-04CB-101 (Small Flourish A - Clear); FL-04CA-127 (3" Dual Frosty Flowers - Olive & Kiwi); FL-04CA-111 (Leaves #I-1.5"); FL-04CA-137 (1.5" Graceful Roses - Olive);  1.5" Graceful Roses - White

If you would like to play along with our design team, just follow along the blog path. I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way!

Hidden on FIVE of the designer's blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, May 28th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, May 29th.

The 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 30th on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Zva's blog as well. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday... plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this blog post... you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. However, the more times you comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to win.

We also thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize! To increase your chances of winning:
* Comment to let us know that you posted on your Facebook page about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)
* Comment to let us know that you "tweeted" about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)
* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products. If they already do, that's fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don't carry.
*Hop over to Zva's blog and leave a comment there to tell us that you made it there!

The blog hop begins here at Zva Creative's blog. Your next stop is Karen Shady. Enjoy!

Thank you for joining us!

P.S. Mark your calendar to join us again on June 25th for our next Zva blog hop!

Love is Sharing

Hello everyone!

I love using Zva Creative pearls on my layouts.  The flourish designs give my projects the soft romantic feel I am looking for when I design.

I used symmetrical flourish PE-02CB-141 in white to frame my photo.  I also cut a small piece to place near the top of my title.

I stamped butterflies using Hero Arts "Butterfly Collector" collection.  I used Rich Cocoa Memento Ink and stamped onto patterned paper.  Once I stamped my design, I used detail scissors to cut the butterfly.

I used the May, 2012 Swirlydoos kit which came with gorgeous papers and buttons from Jolee's.

Memories in the Making

Hello everyone!

Today I have a fun project for you featuring beautiful mini roses from Zva Creative.  I took a little break from my usual distressing, inking and layering because I really wanted my photo to take center stage.

I have had this beautiful chipboard tree for a year now.  I bought it at the Great American Scrapbook Convention which I attend each year.  I bought it at a booth (I don't remember the name) but I have the website address:

I left the tree in it's natural color and added touches of pink to bring it to life.

The butterfly was stamped using the "Take Flight" collection from Technique Tuesday.  I stamped my image on patterned paper, then cut it out using detail scissors.

Twenty 12, Twenty 22! Time Machine Project

Hello everyone!

I recently took part in the National Scrapbook Day week long challenge called "Time Machine."

I wanted to take a break from my usual style and do something fun, clean and bright!

You had to list 10 things and create a mini book.  Then, in 2022, take a look at your book to see how these things may have changed.  I have left a few blank pages so I can update my book in 2022.

I used a lovely sketchbook by American Crafts - Amy Tangerine.  I will share some of the pages I created with you.  I didn't list them in any particular order, I just had fun with the project!

My dog Chance takes center stage on the first page of my book.  He is five now and I hope he is blessed with 10 more healthy years.

I thought I would add my favorite jewelry designer Mr. David Yurman.  I love his pieces and my daughter now loves them too.  I try to "borrow" her bracelets but I haven't been successful! lol.

My commute!  I drive 110 miles per day to go to work.  It is crazy and I hope that I am not doing this for much longer let alone in 2022!  I wanted to capture the price of gas today so I added that to my page.

My favorite restaurant is The Cheesecake Factory.  I love the entire menu!  I haven't tried everything yet, but I plan to bit by bit.

My car!  She is my constant companion on my long drive to work each day.  I hope she lasts for the next 10 years!

My fam!  It will be funny to see how much we change over the next ten years.

My daughter.  I can't wait to see her grow, find a great career and perhaps start a family of her own by the time I open up my book in 2022.  This is my favorite page.  She will be 21 in a few weeks.

There are two shows I don't miss.  The Game of Thrones and True Blood.  It was hard to pick a favorite, but I went with True Blood.

My birds!  These are my first pets ever!  The oldest is now ten and they often out-live their owners.  I hope to have many more happy years with them.

What in the world will I be up to in 10 years?  I have written what I am doing now on the back of the page where you see my finger.  In 2022, I will update what's going on with me and those around me.

American Crafts - Amy Tangerine Sketchbook - Daybook- Chapter, Amy Tangerine Remarks - Paint, Amy Tangerine Remarks - Doodle, Amy Tangerine Collection Pack - Sketchbook

Michael's Crafts - Ribbon

Prima - Flower

Making Memories - Fa La La Stamps

Pink Paislee - London Market - Numbers, Butterfly Garden Alpha

October Afternoon - Letter Stickers

Micron - Pen

Thanks so much for joining me today.  I hope you give this project a try.  You will love it!
