This month my color focus was grape/lavender.  I loved the yellow, green and purple color combination found in the "Canvas" collection by Teresa Collins and knew it would be perfect to coordinate with my crystals and pearls.

I decided to use a white background to keep my layout clean and crisp.  I created several banners using white cardstock which I inked with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.  I used a Yellow pearl pen to add small accents to the elements on my page.

Here is the beautiful Zva Fancy Butterfly Pearl/Crystal flourish (PEB-03CB-109 - Lavender) that I used to soften some of my hard lines.

I used two Zva Graceful Roses ( FL-04CA-136) in purple on the edge of my chipboard sentiment.  I used white acrylic paint to add highlights to my flowers.

Technique Tuesday and Zva Creative Joint Blog Hop

Welcome friends and new visitors!

Today I’m teaming up with some of my fellow design team members from Zva Creative and designers form Technique Tuesday to share a new project using Zva’s beautiful crystals and Technique Tuesday’s stamps.

I have two layouts for you today as I couldn't decide which one I liked the best. lol.

In my first layout, I used the beautiful daisy stamp from "Dreamy Daisy" to create a custom background.

I stamped the image on 12x12 white cardstock, then trimmed it down to 11 1/2" x 11 1/2".  To provide contrast, I used black cardstock to create a thin mat for my paper.

Here, I created script paper on the right side of my photo.  This stamp set is so versatile and each image and sentiment is absolutely stunning.  I also used the "Take Flight" collection to create a coordinating butterfly which was colored using Copic Markers R21 and V04.

I used lots of pretty Zva Flowers to accent the top corner of my page.  This color combination was inspired by the wonderful Vicky Alberto and her stunning "Garden Girl" layout.

My next layout is bright and bold!

Again, I used Technique Tuesday's "Dreamy Daisy" and "Take Flight" stamp collections.   I colored the daisies from "Dreamy Daisy" and butterfly from "Take Flight" using Copic markers Y02, Y06, Y15, B37, B41 and B45.

The beautiful photo is of my friend and one of her favorite horses, Zeek.  You can see the love that she has for him.  This love inspired the title "Devotion" for my page.

I added beautiful Zva mini roses (Soft Blue - FLBK-03CB-130) and Zva's long flourish crystal VI in red (CRB-03CA-118) to accent the area below my photo.

Here is a close up of the gorgeous butterfly stamp from Technique Tuesday.

Ain't Life Grand?

Hello everyone,

It's a beautiful Saturday and I just stumbled on ther sweetest paper collection from We R Memory Keepers called "Anthologie."

This collection features beautiful designs and a gorgeous color palette.

I used Zva Creative flowers and crystals to add an extra special touch to my page.

Here are some of the steps I took to create my layout....

The collection features a gorgeous die cut which I cut in half and added a border sticker to the top. I scored a 1 1/2" section at the top of the die cut.  This will allow me to fold it easily.

Inking the border really makes the design pop!  I used Evergreen Bough Distress Ink.

I folded the top section using a bone folder to create a crisp edge.

Next, I created a decorative border using Martha Stewart's Garden Gate deep edge punch.

Now, I start to build the page.

I cut a design from my patterned paper and I also added a mat from the collection's  4x6 pad.

I added two Zva Creative flowers and inked them both to add color and dimension.

Here I added a delicate crystal leaf design from Zva Creative.

Using, Viva Decor's Pearl Pen in Ice White, I added delicate pearl accents.

I finished my design by added a piece of white twine from May Arts which was accented with mini roses from Zva Creative.

Zva Creative:  CR-05CA-102 Imagine - Smoke Crystal , FL-04CA-127 - 3" Dual-Frosty Flowers - Olive & Kiwi, FLBK-03CB-122 - Mini Roses - White, FLBK-03CB-101 - Mini Rose - White
We R Memory Keepers:  Anthologie Collection Patterned Paper, 4x6 Pad, Embossible Designs Stickers; "Aint Life Grand" Embossed Die Cut
Viva Decor:  Pearl Pen - Ice White
Ranger:  Distress Ink - Evergreen Bough
May Arts:  Twine

Thanks for joining me today.
