Blog Hop Rotation
Me!

This layout was created using the main kit contents which includes beautiful chipboard and sweet little flowers.  The patterned papers from Kaisercraft are lovely and wonderfully versatile.  I created a lasso using the roping included in the kit.  I added delicate flowers along the lasso to create a feminine look.  This is a quick and easy page yet it is full of understated beauty.

I love the color combination of the patterned papers in this kit.  I made a paper fence using the Tim Holtz rosette die and my Sizzix Big Shot.  The flowers are from the embellishment add-on and Petaloo and the leaves are a mix of Petaloo and Zva Creative.  The chipboard words are from Creative Imaginations.

The Kits

Scrap That! is pleased to present "Serendipity". This kit is chock FULL of fabulous scrapbooking products including the amazing Sweet Nothings Collection from Kaiser Craft. Soulmates

Hello everyone!

So sorry to be away for so long.  I am in the process of setting up my scrap room.  I moved from my room in the basement to an extra room upstairs...with windows!  I am so excited.  It has truly been a labor of love and I can't wai to share it with you.  I am still a few weeks away from posting any photos, but I promise to do a new room tour as soon as everything is done.

In the midst of all of my confusion, I took a break to create quite a few projects.  I went on a search to finda a collection to showcase my blue Zva crystals.  I found the Everyday Moments collection from Teresa Collins.  I love all of the embellishments and patterns in this line.

I love pearl lines from Zva and when I saw that the paper collection had a sheet with wording I couldn't get home fast enough and start creating.

I used a sweet Zva pearl flourish along with detail cut flowers.  I added Zva leaves to add a different texture to the page.

Zva Supplies Used:  PEW-03CB-140 (Basic Lines Pearl - Soft blue 0.5 cm);  PE-03CA-109 (Ice & Fire Pearl - Soft Blue & Lime); FL-04CA-112 (Leaves #I - 1")

Other Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper, Die Cuts and Chipboard Elements (Teresa Collins – Everyday Moments); Cecile Collection – Flocked Stickers (Anna Griffin) Glue Glider Pro (Glue Arts); Distress Ink – Mustard Seed, Blending Tool (Ranger); Jumbo Circle Cutter (Creative Memories); Paper Trimmer (Fiskars); Paper Distresser (Tonic Studios); Photo (Vichie81)

Reminisce - Olde Curiosity Shoppe

This is my favorite photo of my aunt Ellie as a young girl. I just love the backgrounds they used for photos back then.

I used “Mercurial Masterpiece” from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe collection to create a frame for my page. I inked the inside of the frame with Distress Ink (Barn Door). The photo is a copy so I inked it with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) to give it an aged effect.

Next I began layering my embellishments using 3-D flowers and Graphic 45 chipboard buttons.

I used a gorgeous die from Heartfelt Creations to create the lacey red and ivory border.  The title was created using the Technique Tuesday Initially Yours - R stamp set.

I inked my page using Barn Door Distress Ink.

This collection is amazing and when using it you will find that your crafting possibilities are endless.

Fun in the Sun! Tropical Travelogue Canvas

Hello everyone!

I used the Tropical Travelogue collection to create this 6x6 mixed media canvas. This is a great way to display your favorite vacation photos year round. To begin my project, I applied molding paste to the bottom of my canvas. I mixed in acrylic paint, then created wave shapes. Once dry, I misted the canvas with Glimmer Mist and trimmed the edges with Distress Stain. I added Glossy Accents to my waves to give them a wet appearance and I also added random drops to create water droplets. Once everything was dry I was ready to begin layering my papers and adding photos. I encourage you to take your layouts off the page and try a fun, new technique.

Altered Clock - Olde Curiosity Shoppe

Hello everyone!

Can you believe I altered this beautiful clock using only scraps of paper? I have had this clock for quite some time and other paper lines just didn’t fit the bill.  The first time I saw the Olde Curiosity Shoppe collection I knew it would be perfect for this project.

I added drops of pearls and further embellished the clock with flowers and butterflies that were cut from paper in the collection.

Here is a close up of the inside of the door.  I used several layers of patterned paper and pom pom trim.

I love how the clock base opens to reveal two hidden compartments. I made two mini books and decorated the inside of the door.  I just love how they distressed the inside of the clock.
