A Day in Paradise

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful Sunday afternoon.

I have coupled Anna Griffin along with beautiful chipboard accents from The Dusty Attic. I weaved two patterns of paper to create my background. I added a large doily to the center of my page to anchor my photo.

I then painted and inked Dusty Attic's DeVine Frame set to frame the photo.

I also used a new ATC Frame set to frame my journaling spot. The flowers are a mixture of Anna Griffin 3-D stickers and new mini roses from The Dusty Attic. I finished my design by adding liquid pearls to the inside of the doily and around my cardstock frame.

Happy Easter! A Birdhouse Tutorial

Hello everyone and Happy Easter!

Today I am sharing a set of three birdhouses that I made using Birdhouses 1, 2 and 3 from The DustyAttic.

First I laid all of the pieces out for my birdhouse. I have labeled each piece for you in the photo.

You can paint the pieces or cover them with patterned paper or other media at this step.  You could even stamp the outside!

Begin to assemble your house. I used a quick dry liquid adhesive to secure each piece.

I placed patterned paper on the inside of each of the houses.

The house is beginning to take shape now.

Now that the houses are assembled you can decorate the outside.

I wanted a slightly weathered look so I painted light coats of Dusty in Colour - Navajo White over the houses. Then once dry, I decorated with patterned paper, pearls, bling and stickers.

Chance at Six

Hello everyone!
Dusty Attic has the best new chipboard and I love every piece!  I used a combination of old and new to embellish this page about my little fur baby Chance.  He's six now and I take photos of him each year. My daughter took this beautiful photo of her best bud.
I used the beautiful new Nameplate #6 (DA0872) to frame Chance's name.  I used the Mini ABC set upper (DA0861) to spell his name.  I painted the letters with Dusty in Color - Cashmere (DA0904), then topped them with Diamond Stickles.

Here I used the gorgeous French Garden Border (DA0845) which I sprayed with Robin's Egg Blue Glimmer Mist.  It turned my chipboard a lovely gray with a shimmery finish.  I then used my yellow Pearl Pen to add delicate touches.
