I used the beautiful Bird Song collection from Graphic 45 along with Dusty Attic flourishes to adorn this nostalgic shadow box. Corner Flourish #4 (DA0873) from The Dusty Attic was my first choice to use to embellish this special project.

One of my favorite designers is Anna Griffin. For many years I have followed her works and loaded my craft room with lots of her amazing products.
When I saw her "Eleanor" collection I couldn't resist! The gorgeous feminine palette spoke to me.
I love the black and pink color combination of the patterned papers so I decided to paint my chipboard skeleton clock pieces using the same combination.
Skeleton Clock Faces (DA0430)
I used a vellum sticker from Anna Griffin to add the sentiment to my page and I finished my design using die cut flowers also from the "Eleanor" collection.
Patterned Paper: Anna Griffin "Eleanor" Collection
Banner: Anna Griffin
Vellum Sentiment Sticker: Anna Griffin
Chipboard: The Dusty Attic - Skeleton Clock Faces
Pearl Pen: Viva Decor - Lime Green
Paint: Black and Pink Acrylic Paint

The ATC theme this month over at The Dusty Attic is Art Deco. Art Deco is "an influential visual arts design style which first appeared in France during the 1920s, flourished internationally during the 30s and 40s, then waned in the post-World War II era. It is an eclectic style that combines traditional craft motifs with Machine Age imagery and materials. The style is often characterized by rich colors, bold geometric shapes, and lavish ornamentation". I thought this image represented this style beautifully.
Once I selected my image I knew I wanted to create a dramatic frame. I used ATC Frame #4 (DA0876) to create a dramatic frame for my image. I painted the frame using black acrylic paint, then I sprinkled black glitter while the paint was still wet. Applying glitter to your chipboard gives it a beautiful shine and creates wonderful texture.
Thanks so much for joining me today.

Spring has sprung and the flowers are in bloom! Join me in this fabulous class featuring Graphic 45’s beautiful “Secret Garden” collection. In addition to the G45 papers, we will be decorating a 6”x6” Fold-Out Tag and Pocket Album by Pinecone Press.
The class will be held at Scrapbooks Plus in Chantilly, VA on Saturday, June 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you are in the Northern Virginia area and would like to attend, please visit the Scrapbooks Plus class page by clicking here.
This fantastic album opens to reveal pockets, flaps and tags just waiting to be embellished. In this class you will use flower layers to create a beautiful 3-D flower and you will assemble/create pockets for tags and memorabilia.
I hope to see you there!
